"Perfectly Chocolate" Chocolate Cake

I cooked this cake the other day and it was yummy!

  1. The aim of me making this recipe was to find a cake recipe to serve to my inlaws for my husband's birthday cake next weekend. Because of my son's allergies I can't use egg, milk or vanilla causing cakes to be dry at times. I usually make banana cake for some flavour (no vanilla is hard) but mother in law really dislikes bananas, So chocolate it is!

    This cake is wicked. Be prepared to repent after you make this one!!!

    After I de-allergised it, it still managed to be the most moist and amazing cake in the world.

    I am thinking that replacing the 1 cup of boiling water with 1 cup of fresh brewed espresso would go down well for adults only eating.... I think Fliss would prolly enjoy this too ♥ but I am planning to garnish with fresh strawberries. I think this cake would also be an amazing base cake for black forrest cake, the cream would relieve the intense cocoa overload.
