Recipes

I have run out of recipes to upload.

Question: (please post your comments below, easiest way is write your name in the comment and post it as anonymous)

If you are given 500g mince and a can of tomatoes

- What would you do with them?
- What other ingredients would you include?

  1. I'd add:
    -A large red onion, sliced
-One can of white beans (or whatever beans you like)
    -2 cloves of garlic
    -Ground cummin to taste, crushed.
-Crushed or sliced Chillis to taste
    -Salt and pepper
    -water
    -Oil (whichever you like)
    -2 teaspooons of cornflour (optional)
-A generous pinch of powdered cocoa (trust me!)

Lightly cook off the onion, garlic, chilli, cummin and cocoa. Add the mince and begin to brown it. Add the tomatoes and beans (rince the beans thoroughly, add some water if it looks a bit dry. Simmer until the meat is cooked through and the beans are starting to collapse. If it's looking a bit soupy, mix some cornflour in water and simmer until the sauce thickens.

    Voila, Chilli con Carne!
You can substitute the water for beer for a different flavour and add extra veggies (onions, beans, capsicum) to make it serve more people.

    Enjoy,
