Ingredients
2kg sugar
50g Tartaric Acid (NOT Cream of Tartar!)
Juice of 6-8 lemons
Peel of ½ the above
A little less than 3 pints of boiling water
Method
- Pour boiling water on all the ingredients and stir until sugar is completely dissolved. (a plastic bucket is perfect for this).
- Cover with a tea towel and leave until cold (overnight or at least 12 hours).
- Remove peel and strain mixture through sieve. (You will want to push some of the mushy bits through to get all the yumminess)
Makes around 3-4 bottles
I made this the other night and it is soooo good. I halved the recipe and it made just over 2 bottles. I recommend this recipe to everyone.
